Meet the Pros
 
Tim Coxon - Head Professional
Tim Coxon has been the professional at Mickleover since July 1994. He has been a qualified member of the PGA since 1990 and prior to his current position was the pro at Breedon Priory on the Derbyshire/Leicestershire border. Tim qualified at PGA training school with the 4th highest result in the whole year earning him accreditation with a Titleist & FootJoy sponsored scholarship.

Tim competes regularly in regional and county tournaments as well as running the golf shop at Mickleover and teaching many members and visitors. Tim has added the use of video & computerised swing analysis as part of his coaching services, giving all standards of golfers the highest possible opportunity to improve their games locally. Over the years he has been the preferred choice of coach to many Derby County footballers past and present.

Tim was also the Captain of the Derbyshire Alliance in 2005 as well as being a committee member, a committee member of the Derbyshire PGA and also has been the representative for Derbyshire on the Midland Region PGA committee.

Tim is often looking for teams of amateurs to compete in pro-ams throughout the county, if you are interested why not make contact.
 

Phil Richards - Shop Manager/Powakaddy Service Technician
Phil has worked in the pro-shop at Mickleover since leaving school in 2000. Phil is a former junior member of the club and has his sights set on becoming a PGA Trainee. He competes in many of the club competitions in his quest to lower his handicap to the required level.

Phil also doubles up as the Powakaddy Service Technician for KaddyMaster trolley repairs based here at Mickleover (see separate page).
