Derbyshire Ladies County Championships

This event was held at Mickleover last weekend over 3 days, and many congratulations to Aimee Wilson who, after qualifying by finishing in the top 16 over 36 holes medal play, went on to reach the final of the match play stages of the championship.

Aimee, who plays off 11 handicap, shot rounds of 83 and 77 (gross) and then in the knock out stages beat Francesca Bougen (7 handicap) from Glossop, our own Lesley Watson (7 handicap), Megan Burgess (3 handicap) from Cavendish, before losing in the final to Kim Bradbury (2 handicap) also from Cavendish. A remarkable achievement - well done Aimee!

Mickleover Juniors won the Derbyshire Junior Interclub Tournament held at Breadsall Priory last Monday (Oct 26th). Competing in teams of 4 with the best 3 stableford scores to count, the team scored an amazing 122 points (14 under par) to pip Chesterfield Juniors by 1 point. Men’s Locker Room

Just a reminder that any items left lying around in the locker room will be disposed of, so if you have a locker please ensure that you put everything away. If you don’t have a locker please ensure that you take everything home when you leave. There are still a few lockers available if you want one – please contact either the Managing Secretary or me.

Web Site

The golf club web site has now been upgraded, and you can look at it on www.mickleovergolfclub.com.  All the fixtures and tee reservations will be kept up to date, and all the competition results will be accessible via our sister web site www.howdidido.com

The web site also has its own Junior Section, so keep a check on it to see what’s happening in your part of the club!
